I have a few new toys for the Kawa..

A handle bar camera mount and a Canon ZR-500 to document some of the rides I go on. I won't be up to my cabin for a few weeks, so I won't get a good test fit. The next ride will be rather interesting, it's about 7 miles long and climbs several thousand feel. The actual trail is only 4 miles long, and after that it's up in the air, as I am using good earth to figure it out. But the camera will definitely be used.

I also bought a universal tank bag so stow some gear while I ride. It will help take some weight off of my back. The only problem is because of the small tank the sides of the bag rest on the engine. I fabbed up some brackets that mount to the frame and raise it off the block. It seems to work well. My next test is to see if they still get hot, if that is the case I will add some ABS sheets and some fiberglass insulation.

It's been in storage for some time now, and I just got it out a few weeks ago. I need to get it registered, so I had to replace the combination flasher that broke; so it should be ready for the safety inspection.

My list now is more maintenance related crap. I got a new K&N today, and just finished putting it on. A bottle of simple green made the engine compartment look almost brand new. My power steering belt is making quite the ruckus, it needs to be tightened down before I shoot it. And the little plumes of oil that came out of the exhaust when the car would start up, now occur most of the time. So it looks like I get to do the rings in a few weeks. Yay!
